I’m Bina Broit, 30 years old. I used to live in Emanuel and belonged to the Lithuanian Haredi community. I left at the age of 22 following a crisis of faith. I was supported in my life change by my then partner (now my husband) and by social support from Hillel. Today I manage a community of fitness and nutrition trainers and am a trainer myself. I’m also a natural bodybuilder and have won Israel’s Miss Fitness and Miss Bikini competitions. I compete internationally as well. I’m also a certified CPA and tax advisor, a financial management consultant, and a payroll accountant. At Hillel, I volunteer on the cultural committee.
My dream is to increase my coaching business and create training programs for schools, institutions and the general public on “proper nutrition and self-confidence”. I would also like to develop personal and business-development tutorials for those who disaffiliate themselves from ultra-orthodox communities.
My message to new Yotzim is: Remember that you are responsible for your life and your successes. Always take personal responsibility and never complain about what others are doing or not doing. Understand one crucial thing: no one owes you anything, so get on your feet and go after whatever you want to achieve. And no matter what they tell you – only do what is right for you – believe in yourself and your abilities!
