Educational counseling and tutoring
The first few years of life in the new world are dominated by a struggle to survive, as the newcomers attempt to balance work with studying for their high school Matriculation Certificate. Our education programs include:
o counseling and referrals to educational institutions
o extensive and highly successful private tutoring (offered on a volunteer basis) in math, English, literature, history, language etc.
o generous scholarship aid.
Scholarship aid
The aim of the Scholarship Fund is to insure that completion of high school studies, of university education and of vocational training are all possible financially for our young people.
Our newcomers must work to support themselves while studying. This means that they are hard-pressed to find adequate time for studies, and any small financial setback may be enough to force them to stop their education before it is completed.
We regard the Scholarship Program as one of our most important projects. We have steadily increased the size and scope of the grants. We are now able to offer generous scholarships for the Matriculation Certificate, for university studies and for professional training.
